Completed Videos: Haitian Christian Mission

Since its humble beginning in 1974, Haitian Christian Mission has developed a vast array of ministries over the past 40+ years. During our travels, we were glad to receive the task of capturing some of these ministries on video. Initially, we were interviewing the heads of the various ministries with the intent of a series of narration-based videos. But we realized that much of the information would simply be a repeat of what already exists on their website, plus, due to their ever-growing nature, stats and figures could quickly become outdated. So, instead of simply pairing existing information with video footage, we decided instead to lose the verbal information and communicate purely visually by sharing a look into what life is like within each of these ministries — whether that's following three medical staff throughout their day both on campus and in their community, showing the process of peanut butter distribution from factory to table to delivery to children suffering from severe malnutrition, or capturing the essence of the sports ministry through the pure love of the game. The one exception is the video for Higgins Brothers Surgicenter for Hope — an initiative that is still in its early stages, which we found needed a voice to explain where its at and where its headed. HCM is releasing these videos on their channels throughout the next few months, and we are happy to be able to share them with you here. †

We are Derrick and Christy Collins, the parents of two sons, River and August. We thrive off of partnering with people to create things that are meaningful to them and life-giving to all. Our desire with Wild Bridge Travels is toimmerse ourselves in four
Christian communities of a particular country and

culture very different from our own for two months each. We hope in some small way to join Christ’s work of building bridges among his people by creating a film showcasing a handful of honest, inspiring human

portraits. The film is currently in the post-production stage.
