Financial Breakdown

As we budget for our trip to Kenya, Haiti, Mexico, and India, the three big categories are: 1.) Airfare/ground travel

2.) Living costs

3.) Insurance/contingency fund

And our three sources of financial provision are:

1.) Providing video services to organizations we are partnering with

2.) Moonlighting

3.) Raising support

VIDEO SERVICES:

At each of our destinations, we will be partnering with existing organizations to create videos for them that will help with their ministries in various ways. (And in future blog posts, we will talk about each of these in detail.) From discussion and planning so far, each of these organizations is able to pretty much provide us with food and shelter in exchange for providing video services to them. We are so incredibly thankful for this provision!

MOONLIGHTING:

A while back we decided that as much income as possible from our businesses, Wild Bridge Films and Simple Sparrow Art, would be saved toward our trip, including the first month we are back in the states. Since making that decision, we have been so humbled and delighted to receive an influx of work, including some already accomplished, as well as some on the calendar for just before we depart. If you are interested in purchasing a painting by Christy, now is the time to do it, as the purchase will fully go toward our trip!

RAISING SUPPORT:

For the remainder of our need, we are asking to be financially supported by those for whom the vision of our trip resonates with. We are seeking 100 people to support us with $25/month for 10 months. If you feel able to support us in this way, you may set up a recurring gift here. We have already received some generous gifts, and in the coming days we will be sharing a video that further details our heart behind this trip, while expressing our need for support as we go. †
